The FAQ's here are for our own motorhomes

When can I collect the motorhome?

Usually after 12 noon- we will try to accomodate the motorhome to be ready
when you are - but we may have to co-ordinate with the prior rental.

When do I have to return the Motorhome?

The Motorhome needs to be back around 10am - to be ready for the next rental. Sorry we do like you being punctual as we want to make sure the vehicle is fully prepared for the next group to enjoy their holiday

What facilities do the motorhomes have?

The motorhomes have a fully equipped kitchen, a walk-in shower and washroom and dinette.

Are the motorhomes suitable for children?  Yes.

How old do I have to be to hire the motorhomes?
You need to be over 25 to hire and drive the motorhome.

Do the motorhomes take petrol or diesel and how many miles to the gallon do they do?
The motorhome takes diesel and generally does about 25 – 28 miles per gallon.

Do I have to fill the tank before returning the motorhome?
Yes - you will receive the motorhome with a full tank of diesel, please return it with a full tank

What equipment is supplied in the motorhome?
The motorhome is supplied with a dinner service, cutlery, pots, pans & utensils,tea towels,fire extinguisher, dustpan & brush,washing up liquid, cloths, cleaning equipment, toilet 'blue', toilet rolls, gas bottle, levelling blocks. If required... (towels, duvets, pillows, covers & sheets can be hired also for £25 per double and £25 for the two bunks) - or you can bring your own or sleeping bags etc.
All you have to do is bring yourselves and your personal possessions.

Can I leave my car when I collect my Motorhome?

Yes you can leave your car on our premises but we cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage whilst it is parked.

How long should I allow for the handover at the beginning of the holiday?

If its your first time with a motorhome we would like to spend at least an hour with you running through the fittings, we do supply a manual that we have written that also tells you how to operate all the appliances, we can spend as long as you wish going over all the controls.

Can you collect me from a Railway Station or Airport?

Yes we can, there is a charge for this service. Please contact us with your details.

If I'm travelling to you from abroad can I leave my suitcases with you when I've unpacked?

Yes no problem, we can store them for you..

Do you have Bedding we can hire?

Yes we have plenty of bedding - at a hire cost of £25 per double bed.. and £25 for the 2 bunk beds.
This will give you 2 pillows, a quilt, a quilt cover, bottom sheet and pillow cases. If you are staying for longer than one week - we will supply extra sheets and pillowcases at no extra charge. We can also supply you with towels at a cost of £8. This will give you 1 bath sheet, 1 hand towel and a flannel per person. Again if you are renting for longer than one week, we will give you extra towels at no extra charge.

Can I smoke in the motorhome?

Sorry but we have a strict NO SMOKING policy it is now illegal to smoke in our motorhomes

Can I bring animals on holiday with me?

Sorry we do not allow pets in our motorhomes

Can we bring our bikes with us?

Yes you can,

How does the insurance work?

Fully Comprehensive insurance is included within the hire charge. The vehicle is insured for the period of hire contracted ONLY, thus late return of the vehicle would incur a traffic offence under the road traffic act. Hirers are advised to take out additional personal holiday insurance. A £1250 excess payable by the hirer and is applied to all vehicles. We reserve the right to obtain a pre-approval of any amount up to the insurance excess against the drivers’ or hirers’ credit card.

What driving License do I require?

Drivers must be over 25 and under 75 years of age and have held a full driving license for at least 2 years. In certain circumstances the lower age limit can be reduced to 21. (Drivers under 25 and over 70 will incur an additional insurance premium charge. Further details obtainable on request) The license must be unendorsed (except for speeding and parking offences) and must be produced at the time of collecting the vehicle. Visitors from abroad must hold a current international driving permit or license (Foreign license holders will incur an additional insurance premium charge).

Any current endorsements (within 3 years) will incur an additional insurance premium charge.

2 Forms of proof of identity (including photo such as a passport) must be produced by all hirers at the start of the hire ie. Utility bills, Bank statements or Credit card statements.

Can we take the Motothome to Europe?

Yes you can - please make us aware that you wish to do this - we do not charge any extra for this, but there are rules and regulations we will need to make you aware of and we do need to inform our insurers. You will need to purchase a special kit to take with you if you do not already have one.
We cannot allow you to take the motorhome to Turkey or outside EU.

Why do I have to pay a £150 cheque deposit?

This is the amount needed during the hire and is fully returnable on completion of your holiday as long as the motorhome is returned undamaged, reasonably clean with the waste and toilet empty. It will be returned to you uncashed after 60 days ( to ensure that there are no parking tickets etc. left upaid.

What happens if I breakdown?

In the unlikely event of a breakdown, we request that the hirer seeks the help of the the appropriate breakdown company quoting the registration number of the vehicle. Hirers are authorised to
request repairs up to the value of £50. Repairs costing in excess of £50 must first be authorised
by us PRIOR to the work being undertaken.
